Witching Chronicles: Exploring HAVEN’s Causes

I’m going to be short today! Causes doesn’t give you what you expect right away. From the start, you can tell HAVEN isn’t in a hurry. The music drifts, moves at its own pace, and sometimes leaves you hanging before anything heavy hits. When it does, it doesn’t feel rushed – it’s like the moment has been building up quietly, and when it arrives, it feels earned.

There’s a lot of space in the sound. The instruments don’t compete for attention; instead, they kind of float around, leaving gaps that let each part of the music stand on its own. The drums aren’t flashy – they fit the mood, holding things steady when the guitars shift between lighter and heavier moments. Nothing feels cluttered. Even when the sound gets thick, you can still pick out the individual layers.

It’s a bit of a slow burn, but that’s where the strength lies. You’re not meant to be overwhelmed from the beginning. Instead, it’s about letting the album work its way under your skin. The pacing can be frustrating at first if you want quick highs, but once it clicks, you realize that this album is about creating a space, a feeling that gets deeper the longer you listen. Total recommendations!
